Low and Slow

"Low and Slow" is an informal group of like minded Aviators that enjoy Low and Slow journeys. The destination is not always important but the journey and the skills practiced and experiences gained is what it is all about.

On a typical Saturday flight we will pick a route that allows us to take in the scenery, practice short field operations at difficult strips or just visit mates that have their own interesting bush strips. This group also organises flyaway weekends to remote locations during the year and every couple years we do a Low and Slow safari somewhere in Australia.

This year (2019) the Low and Slow group will be exploring the Simpson desert for 5 weeks from September.

From a Pilot and aircraft perspective most of our trips favour a aircraft and pilot capability that is comfortable in operating from narrow strips of 400m or less and are comfortable cruising at around 60kts.

So if you have access to a suitable aircraft, have or want to gain the skills for this type of flying come and have a chat about joining us one Saturday, weekend or on one of the Safaris.

For more information contact Adrian who can generally be found at the airfield Thursday, Friday and Saturdays.
